Summary:
A prospective study was carried out on the patients
presenting with history of recurrent joint swelling and
wound bleeding in outpatient department of
Haematology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical
University (BSMMU) and Armed Forces Institute of
Pathology (AFIP), Dhaka Cantonment from January
2000 to December 2000. Fifty patients were studied. The
predominant age group affected were between six and 15
years (44%). Recurrent joint swelling was the
predominant presenting symptom (100%) followed by
wound bleeding (52%) and bleeding after tooth
