Summary :
A case of giant renal hydatid cyst in an elderly rural
dwelling lady having no contact with dog, sheep or cattle
is reported. No other hydatid cyst was demonostrable in
any other organ. Diagnosis was suspected on
ultrasonography and strongly supported by surgery. Final
